After the Parc des Princes concert!

AFTER
When they turned on the lights to the stadium, the public who was left understood that there wouldn't be any more pyrotechnic surprises, and that everything was over. Some stay for a few dozen minutes meanwhile staff is packing the material, and the trucks are ready to leave.

200 fans, among the most informed, went to the VIP entrance to try to see Bill, Tom, Georg, and Gustav leave, because often they change and eat a bit in their lodge before leaving.
At all the exits there are poster salesmen, and merch stands from the official boutique, which propose CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, hats...and and they distribute "pochettes" (?) from the Official Photo Album.
We can see the police taking a dozen or more suspects, handcuffed, suspected of robberies, harassment, or sexual touching, taking during the show. Some took away those who were sticking to some of the young girls. Obviously they hadn't come for the music...

Not many had gone to the hippodrome d'Auteuil, which was situated nearby, and had preferred to keep in their ears this 113 unforgettable souvenir.

Others went directly the hotel Park Hyatt. At around midnight, at both entrances, back and front, there were about 400 to 500 fans, some with parents who had accompanied them. They were all along the walls, between red and white security tape, and in waiting lines organized by the police and even the BAC, on the sidewalk facing the hotel, between two police cars.

Bill, Tom, Gustav, and Georg arrived by the principal entrance at around 23:00 without stopping or signing autographs.
On the second floor, fans were seen at the window of a room which they had reserved in order to try to approach the boys...and suppositions of all sorts were made when we saw pretty women, well-dressed, come in and then out, high-heels and sexy dresses: were they there for the band or were they simply hotel clients?

Tokio Hotel left by the back entrance at around 2:00 in the morning. They put a black van in front as a bait, for the fans to regroup around before leaving from behind accompanied by Andreas.
But about 50 courageous fans stayed, even sleeping against the hotel walls. They saw them pass 3 times, but they didn't stop. Many were foreigners, Portuguese, Spanish, or German.
End
Oh and, did I mention that Gustav's parents and Georg's mom were at the concert?

Hey, I'm sorry this wasn't perfect, the original article was so much better that it even made me feel like I'd been there :). Oh well, at least you have a little idea of what it was like?<3

The continuation of the concert Parc des Princes rerportage

Bill goes up to the superior stage. The public has recognized Schrei. Everywhere, people are singing and raising their arms to the sky. There are flames on each side. Bill seems to command the troupes, throwing with all his force "Schrei!" When the song comes to the part where it says "shut up!", everything stops. The public is quite for an instant and then it's followed by "Nein" with a terrible rumbling of the drums which becomes louder and the stage goes up in flames. Bill disappears.
Meanwhile the pause, the screens show a compilation of images from their 3 DVDs. Tokio Hotel, all young, in a supermarket, in luxurious hotels, and backstage...
And then Georg's bass becomes the hero of the giant screens during "Schwarz." The fans appreciate it, because it's transparent and fluorescent. Tonight the clear dark makes the light reflect and it becomes blue on the edges.
The riffs are heavy and Bill, who has changed clothes again, is seated on a suspended spherical plateau. His voice is soft and we can feel the emotion invade him, his makeup starts to run close to his right eye. He straightens up. Behind him, the screen is blood red. He descends to the mains stage and moves one arm from left to right. The public follows in suit. Bill finishes on his knees at the foot of the mic, a black stream flowing from his eyes.
Bill throws his jacket to the ground and starts Stich ins Gluck with "Eins, zwei, drei, vier..." he goes back up on the higher stage, and finds himself in the wind from
fans. His hair is moving and Bill points his finger to the spectators to tell them about this song which talks of drugs. On the Tom's riffs, the public sings the refrain by moving their arms and pointing to the band.
Meanwhile, it's the combat of the guitars. When one of the fans' favorite songs starts, Ubers Ende der Welt, everyone is still. For a year and a half, this song opened the Zimmer Tour. Then everyone is moving. Normal, since this song reminds us that we can't let ourselves be walked on by others.
On Reden, Bill faces Georg, and then Tom, who goes up on the left staircase. He is soon joined by Bill, and together they tell us this story. Tom's story, about just
wanting to talk to a girl. A conversation which ended with more...
Bill's face appears on the screens. The sound seems to have gone, but something's happening. After his intro, the sound hasn't started yet. Bill makes a sign with his hand: he's sorry for the technical incident. Heilig then starts, Bill's face reappears and in the public you can hear: "He is so gorgeous!" Bill comes to the front of the stage and stars start falling from everywhere, and flashes crackle.
On the screens, arrows announce "Geh." This song makes a lot of fans cry: one of them confides to us that for someone who is depressed, it really boosts their moral.
Bill goes back up the stage and rests his hand on Tom's shoulder. His voice is soft. This song is played electrically and with drums, but on the CD it is only
acoustic, on the single "An deiner Seite."
The red of the curtain and of the light and the background screen creates a bloody and dark atmosphere.
Bill starts Spring Nicht. At every refrain, the public
manifests itself. The song's theme, suicide, touches many of the fans. That's why Bill is ignited and his eyes, not leaving the audience, are full of emotion and they sing along with him. Even our editor in chief, Francois, joined in.
Bill says that the next song, they wrote for you, the fans: Wo sind eure Hande. Then he asks us, in German: "Where are you hands?" Fire starts on the stairs.
Everywhere flames are rising in this universe where the Tokio Hotel boys are the princes. Bill marks the rhythm in balancing himself on his legs, which he does so well.
And then the curtain of lights is covered with silvery lights. Bill continues to sing the piece, with flames behind him. When Tom catches the mic, the fans can't hold themselves back anymore, especially those who had reserved front places in order to be close to him.
Contrary to other dates, the band hasn't yet played "An deiner Seite." This is perhaps because of the fireworks which are supposed to take place at 22:30. Also, the show had started 6 minutes late.
After all this emotional fire, Bill catches his breath and announces that the next song, always interpreted with lots of intensity, is the one which made them become known: Monsoon. The stage is covered by an intense blue light. And then the sky appears on the screens. At the first few notes, a happiness mixed with tension rises. At my side, girls who have cellphones in their hands and cameras don't know anymore what to do: listen to the song, or make a friend hear it on the phone, take a picture, or sing...
Indeed, everyone knows the lyrics. Bill who is now on the superior stage, comes back down to hear them sing. And quietly, the song stops. There's a doubt...is it really the end? But then Bill suddenly turns around and starts running down the long extended stage and lets the rest of the song explode in his mic, meanwhile behind him, and in all the Parc, the sound is more violent and alive.
Tom joins him. This action is followed by an explosion of screams and arms waving in the air.
There is a pause, long enough to install a little scene in the middle for the acoustic instruments. The public who has understood that everything was going to take place there, precipitates to that corner of the Parc.
Bill is back. He has changed again and now wears black jogging pants with a black and white vest, which he himself had created, which carries the TH logo. Tom accompanies him for the song "In die Nacht." The twins give each other little smiles, this song evokes their future: they will never separate. The image is beautiful: the sky is still a little clear, and Bill's voice rises, calm. At the end, the public is soothed.
Everything on stage is soft. Rette mich stars, the blue light and the first few words create a fragile atmosphere around the four boys. The song, which means "rescue me," arouses a wave of tears from those on the lawn. They are numerous, those wanting to be saved by the boys. So they throw stuffed animals with the hopes to capture the boys' attention. Bill addresses a smiling "Danke schön" to them. This intimate session ends.
After a little pause in order to rearrange the instruments, the band reappears with a curtain full of lights which is raised again. The screens seem to be magma now, and Vergessene Kinder is dedicated to those forgotten children from the third-world. Bill suddenly appears on the top stage, bathed in an orange-red light, his presentation is moving.
The public shakes their yellow balloons and hangs on to those last notes which could perhaps announce the end of the show.
Their foreboding proves to be true. Bill announces the end of their show. He thanks Paris, the Parc, and the fans who have come from far. Effectively, while exiting you can see many license plates from all over France, Portugal, Germany, Spain, England, Holland, and Switzerland.
Ich bin da will be the last song. Bill is followed by Tom and Georg on the ramp. Meanwhile everything behind them is exploding, they rise up above the public. The
explosions continue and suddenly a rain of silver confetti falls. The public was supposed to waive the balloons only on this song. Even though it had been announced for several months, this project wasn't a total success: some had started to raise them during Vergessene Kinder, and the effect which many had hopped for, didn't
take place. You couldn't see the black balloons very well, they were high up, and the red balloons weren't very visible among the red seats. The operation was only really visible on the lawn/ditch where the yellow balloons had been well distributed ever since the eve of the concert and in the waiting lines.
Meanwhile, when the confetti was barely done falling to the floor, fireworks start. Red, white which in a last explosion provokes a second rain of confetti, Bill throws a last "thank you so much" and is the first to leave the stage to the dismay of many fans. The three others play a bit with the public. Tom leaves to thank those next to the stairs, meanwhile Georg goes on the ramp. They have fun emptying bottles of water on the first few rows, refreshing all the burning hearts. And they finish by throwing their towels in the arms of the lucky ones. The ultimate image, is that of a generous Gustav who asks them to execute a last "ola." When the lights are light all over the stadium, the message is clear, this time, it's really finished.
(Don't miss the next little bit about after the concert.)<3

Tokio Hotel on Stage! Parc des Princes reportage

20:20
Outside, horns are blown followed by long screams.
The group is predicted to be on stage at 20:30 or 20:25, but still no sign of them. Meanwhile, their 3 bodyguards pace in front of the lodge, a light stress arises. 20:30. The German chef of the guard from VSD Hamburg is there and you can also read the stress written on his face. The door opens...then closes. The minutes pass and the public screams the band's name. In this situation of waiting, all the eyes of the staff of the Parc are riveted on the door, which opens at 20:36.

First the bodyguard and then there they are. First Bill. Transformed. The boy is ready for this magical moment, that of the show. He had prepared himself at the hotel. He's wearing black pants slightly flared at the bottom, and a vinyl band on the side. Underneath his jacket, he's wearing a red shirt. His gaze is drawn into the long hall which leads to the stage. He's concentrating. Tom follows. His long baggy jeans amplifies his "cool" swaggers. His cap of the day is a "Hater." His long T-shirt leaves you to guess and over looked message of his inflamed heart. Gustav is stupefying. He is simply dressed in a white shirt and a beige bermuda. He's usually the first to enter on stage. Georg follows closely, in a white T-shirt with a dark illustration imprinted on, dressed in simple grey-beige pants. The guard behind ends the procession.

The Parc des Princes is in a fever. Cheeks are pink, and hearts are ready to explode. Paramedics are there, ready for those who won't be able to resist the pressure that was inflicted on them for several days. This Music Festival with Tokio Hotel is our reward. It's 25° and everywhere there's messages of support: "Tokio Hotel Das Ist Mein Leben," "Vergesst Uns Nicht." We are far from the hot messages from certain concerts (the famous Fick mich...). We have come from far, among the posters and banners, we recognize those from the Italian fan club, or the official Swiss forum fans, or from England, with their flag of the UK Street Team.

Under an azure sky, the Parc has adopted the colors of Germany: the higher tribune is black, underneath is red, and the ditch/lawn is full of yellow balloons. A present from France to the band, so they can see the colors of their country being waved underneath their eyes.

Then the tribune at the right gives the alert. They are here! From high up, the public can see the passage which leads to the stage. soon,t hey will appear on the big plateau, constituted of a central stage and a higher stage, which is smaller and you can access by two staircases on each extremity. 2 giant screens are installed on each side of the stage, underneath there are two other staircases.

20:43, a sound of thunder is released, as well as screams. The curtain full of lights is raised, accompanied by a roaring voice "Wilkommen in Tokio Hotel 1000 European Tour." An alarm is heard. Gustav is once again the first on stage. Tom and Georg follow him right after and take their usual places. Facing the public, Tom on the left and Georg to the right. The curtain lets Georg appear. Once the curtain is done it's ascension, multiple explosions take place on the front of the stage, meanwhile, behind, on the superior stage, a shadow emerges from the ground. There's Bill who starts Ich brech aus. His way of moving and uprooting himself up from the floor will soon become legendary. Some people judge it badly, but the fact is that it gives the songs an incisive side, as early as the first few notes. Would we prefer to see him taped to his mic and immobile? Tom and Gustav (they must mean Georg) are calmly positioned in front. Tom turns around from time to time, smiling at each explosion which comes from the superior stage. And here's Bill who starts his descent on the stairs at the left, meanwhile the drum's rhythm accelerates. A first song marked by the emotion and the scream, but also by the series of explosions of fireworks which Tokio Hotel had promised their fans a few months earlier. It's their first concert in a stadium, and to celebrate this event, they decided to be accompanied by a true pyrotechnical show.
And then, blue invades the scene. The curtain of lights is full of colors when the band starts Der letzte Tag. A wave shakes the public, and then all at once all arms are in the air, clapping hangs meanwhile Bill goes through the stage. Some can't see anything anymore, and are perched on the backs of friends or parents who sometimes display the band's T-shirt. Everywhere, messages appear in the form of posters, banners, or drawings. Mainly with "Danke schön" or "ich liebe dich" addressed mainly to Bill and Tom.
In the Parc, it's still as hot as before, and Bill finally takes of his jacket. He gives us several words: "Bonjour tout le monde, ca va?" which are then followed by 1000 Meere, and the clip is projected on the screens. And now you can see his T-shirt for the concert! That of the dead head which Bill wears regularly. It's a T-shirt anti-perspiration, equipped with a zipper, to facilitate the changing of clothes.

During the concert Bill will say several words before each song. Now, he tells us that it's one of the first songs which they composed and that they still have so much pleasure in playing.
When the first few notes of Leb' die Sekunde are heard, Tom who has been very good up till now, ignites. But today, he will not have sex with his Flying V guitar. He puts it up in the air and continues playing. The band has decided to give the concert a party atmosphere and continues to launch pyrotechnic effects. On stage, a mini-fire work of red and white is followed by bright sparks. Georg and Tom declare war and face each other. Meanwhile the drums continue, Bill advances to the front of the stage, which stretches out into the lawn, cutting it in two. It smiles while advancing to the middle. He has fun with the crown in the refrain, letting the crown sing lines.

Back on stage, Bill starts the presentation with the next song, telling us that we all need someone who loves us by our sides.
Then Totgeliebt starts, and in the ditch, the tribunes, everywhere, arms are raised from left to right. On the background screen, a burning cross is glowing. His necklace illuminates his face. Bill crosses the stage to salute the left tribune. Tom and Gustav are carried on by Bill's movement and exchange places. Bill always finishes with a smile on his lips.

The first few notes of Wir sterben niemals aus are heard. At the same instant the stadium is covered in white. The image focuses and it's a sea of black hearts on a white background which has invaded the concert. Bill starts the ascension of the left staircase. Maybe to see this sea of hearts beating for him. It is true that the band didn't appear very surprised by this, but Tom will wait for Heilig to thank the fans. You must remind yourself that this kind of operation is usually brought forth by the fans' initiative. Our band is hard to surprise. Tom thanks the public by joining his fingers to form a heart which he offers to the public with a smile...

ROCKMAG special edition PDP (translation)

Monday 16
Already several fans are wandering around the Parc des Princes this Monday. They are trying to make contact with other fans. Charlotte is the first to arrive. She knows already that she will live special moments next Saturday and she's moves a little away. Silent at the moment, this place will become an immense mob ready to receive its idols! But the police is present and prevents the young people from camping in front of the Parc. Kenza, 14 year old, Parisian, confides to us: "They make their rounds up til at least 3 in the morning." Morgann, 20, pretends to be their mother in order to protect them from police checks. Solidarity obliges it...

In the media, there are still remarks about the fact that the Parc des Princes concert isn't sold out yet...It's also hard to fill the Parc the 21st of June, but we can't attribute that as Tokio Hotel's fault, who is losing speed. Bercy was sold out in 2 hours. But some parents found it unreasonable to assemble minors, usually younger than 15, in a football stadium. Meanwhile, in Switzerland, the problem has been fixed: the organizers have placed the Stadium concert in Geneva to a more traditional hall, at the Arena.
And also, there is a date choice mistake: organizing a paying concert the day of the Music Festival, it's like making people pay to see fireworks on the 14th of July! (14th of July is France's national holiday)

Tuesday 17
The police, present 24/7, watches a good 30 fans carefully and sends them back home every evening. Checking identity papers and calling parents for the minors! It is said that barriers will be placed all around the PdP on Friday night, which suggests that lots of impatient people will be able to sleep there the eve of the concert. Morgane, 17, from St Brieuc, arrived with her suitcase today. It is 15:34, she will stay all afternoon and a good part of the night.

Wednesday 18
Nina, 15, Parisian, has come to do her tour of the PDP just like she has done every day since Monday. She walks around with a clan of friends: "If we come every day it's to show other fans that we are really awaiting this concert. Also, we want to be the first. We made a list to get to know the first 50 girls present since the beginning of the week, to be able to look out for each other and be well placed in the line the day of the concert." They take turns standing in line so as not to lose their places.
According to some misinformed people, Tokio Hotel would be arriving Thursday in Paris and would visit the place in the afternoon.

Thursday 19
Quentin, the editor of ROCKMAG, passed at 16:02 to take the winning lots, offered by the Boutique Officielle who is trying to put up its merch stand. A trailer is at the door entrance. Two "roadies", bare-chested and muscular are unloading things for the scene, in a very demonstrative manner, under the admiring eye of about 30 young girls. There is even one girl who is filming them. The weather forecast isn't looking very bright for the Parc today: 18° and heavy rain. But on Friday and Saturday, things will be heating up to 23°, with the return of the sun. Nina, Morgann, Kenza, Morgane and Maelle meet each other there every day, the atmosphere is very high. When we ask them about anti-Tokio Hotels, they answer: "There aren't any for the moment, and I think if they come, they will understand very quickly that they aren't welcome (laughs)!"
At 20h43, at the last minute, Nina announces to us that a new directive has been taken by the police prefect: the fans won't be allowed until Saturday 12H30 in front of the PdP! The waiting line organized by Nina's little group seems compromised. She will go the next day to the police headquarters to learn if the rules will be changed. Meanwhile, several people tell us that the band has arrived at the hotel Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome...and the fans are staying in front of it, lurking.

Friday 20
Contrary to what was predicted, it rains at around 16H and the weather stays quite cloudy. Indeed, since Thursday, things have changed. We find Nina at the spot. She tells us that her and a friend were absent for a while to change, and when they came back they police had installed barriers to "park" the fans (90% are girls) annihilating their efforts of the week. In spite of all, they manage to negotiate with a policewoman, and get an alright spot in the line. But still, their little group is now disseminated in different places. Their list is now obsolete. At 19h 400 people are waiting to sleep on the spot under survival blankets or tents in order to be the first on the lawn, 21H23. This time it's for sure, and Christophe, the photographer of ROCKMAG, is on the spot: Tokio Hotel arrives at the hotel Park Hyatt from behind, meanwhile the German security team enters from in front. Some of the 300 fans who are there start leaving, about a hundred stay, hoping that the four kids will show themselves at the balcony. But they don't show up. 21h57, the police leave, and then dozen fans which were still there disperse. Inside, Tokio Hotel is giving a filmed interview on the terrace. And at 22H36, they leave quickly in a white van to an unknown destination.
23h, at the Parc des Princes, the tension is rising. 300 fans are stationed behind the barriers in boxes, by groups of 40, under blankets given by first-aid security, and under tents. Several times, the security argues with them. They are forbidden to get up, and their parents aren't even allowed to come and take photos. The police is at the beginning of the avenue which leads to the stadium. I ask permission from someone in the security to stand up and take a picture, he tells me, yes. Barely being able to take a picture, 5 men come upon me, screaming and insulting me. The police asks me to leave because the security is at the end of their wits and we must not worsen the situation...
