ROCKMAG special edition PDP (translation)

Ever since the the announcement of the Parc des Princes concert on the 24th of December, many events have occurred and provoked a suspense, worthy of being a film scenario: changing of dates, canceled tour, hospitalization, curse of Friday 13...

24 of December, 2007
NRJ announces that Tokio Hotel will have their very first concert of the tour in a stadium, and it will be on the lawn of the Parc des Princes, in Paris, the 20th of June, 2008. A real Christmas present for thousands of fans who already dream of this encounter. Immediate reactions: "Great, a mega scene for a mega band!"

16th of January, 2008 at 10h
All the tickets are being sold and the fans have answered the call. Hordes of girls and boys wait in front of the Fnac and other places where tickets are being sold, in all of France, to assure their presence in the event. Things are organized to facilitate the venue, the site TicketNet.fr proposes leave and return tickets in an autocar+concert for dozens of cities.

28 January
A slow-down in sales is being felt. The bad reputation of the Parc des Princes is worrying the parents. Skirmishes during football matches have already provoked fears, even refusals. The site TokioHotelAuParc.com is made in order to reassure the parents. Everything is indicated and explained to explain the day, as well as the organization of the security. The message is spread: "The Parc des Princes wishes a good evening to all those who will come on the 20th of June, to applaud Tokio Hotel live."

No doubt just for publicity, the hardcore rock group announces on their Myspace page, assuring the first part of the concert. A rumor which was denied several days later...

9th March
A first set-back comes, disturbing Tokio Hotel's agenda: after a high demand from the fans, the German group accepts to change the date of the concert in France. Actually, the week following the 16th of June is a period of exams, and lots wouldn't be able to come on the 19th, Friday. Because of this request and in order to better satisfy the public, the quartet decides to move back the concert day. The tickets which were already bought for the 20th of June are still valid for the concert on the 21st, Saturday. For those who don't yet have places, the sales will start on the 19th of March, Wednesday.

14th March
The four 'kids' are at the Dôme de Marseille. The concert is shortened because Bill has voice problems. The days pass and the pain persists. Bill will finally undergo an operation of his vocal chords on the 30th of March. The tour dates are canceled and the big question everyone is asking is: will Tokio Hotel be at the Parc des Princes on the 21st of June?

April
Bill is resting and the tour starts on the 3rd of May, at the Bamboozle festival in New Jersey, USA. And the Parc des Princes concert is confirmed.

BP Zoom is officially announced to start the first part of the concert. (BP Zoom is a French band)

May
The fans organize themselves to offer Tokio Hotel an unforgettable music festival. A heart will be waved on Wir sterben niemals aus. And on Ich bin da, a release of balloons, with the colors of the German flag; yellow, red, and black.
In the Tokio Hotel Encyclopedia there is a heart along with the TH logo.

Other surprises are being prepared at the last moment. The 27th of May, a blog Banderoles-TH-PdP.Skyrock.com is created to make a banner "VERGESST UNS NICHT, WIR LIEBEN EUCH UBER ALLES" (Don't forget us, we love you more than anything). On the 15 June, Rachel appeals to the fans who want to put their photo on the T-shirt that she plans to bring to the scene.

Ever since the beginning of June, just like when all important events are gonna take place, rumors start circulating... Contest games are set in place in order to multiply the places, on NRJ, in magazines or on Internet.

And on the accursed day, Friday 13, you read on different sites that Bill - who hasn't properly recovered from his OP - sang playback in Dortmund. The staff denies it, it was in reality just the badly-set band. But Bill sang directly and didn't have any voice problems. So no worries needed for the Parc des Princes concert.
