Tokio Hotel WW117 (TH fans on Buzzworthy)

Buzzworthy.mtv

The roaring crush of Tokio Hotel fans outside of the MTV building here in Times Square last week was enough to make us cross our fingers and hope the sidewalk on Broadway was enforced with extra rebar. Assuming it was, we took a rare trip outside 1515 to interview some of Tokio Hotel’s most enthused fans. On our first go, we encountered Josselen (left), 20 and Amada (right), who’s “18 and livin’ it!”

Buzzworthy: What do you love most about Tokio Hotel?

Josselen: Well their fashion is out there. It’s like Japanese inspired, but they’re from Germany. I like how their music sounds. It’s very different from what you hear in the states.

Amada: Their lyrics! We can all relate to them. They’re so fantastic! They’re brilliant! They started from a young age, and look at them now! They’re crossing oceans, crossing borders, everything! They’re so awesome!

Buzzworthy: Which lyrics in particular do you relate to?

Josselen: I like “By Your Side,” because he’s talking about how the person he’s talking to, he or she, is far away, but then somehow if she looks around, he’ll always be there for her. Even if theyr’e far away, he’ll always reach out for her.

BW: How’d you discover Tokio Hotel?

Josselen: I was in Puerto Rico at the time, and there’s this international TV show from Spain, and they talked about how all these child stars had become famous, and that’s how I heard about Tokio Hotel.

Amada: MySpace.

BW: If you could spend time just one-on-one with the band, what would you say to them?

Amada: I wouldn’t say anything! I would just (redacted by Buzzworthy in the name of good taste, which we rarely employ) them.

BW: Woah!

Josselen: I would say I love them very much. I would say because of them I want to know more European music. And they’re very inspiring. They inspired me to draw all over again. I started drawing because of them.

BW: Hm, yeah. Let’s go with that answer. Thanks!
