Tokio Hotel WW2 (Bravo interview)

The boys from Tokio Hotel could get almost everyone! But do they want to? BRAVO discussed with Tom, Bill, Gustav en Georg about hysterical fans, sex with groupies and wild nights.. It happened a few weeks ago.

Tom was caught on the deed. He was in a partying mood, hanging around the neck of a blonde, his hands on her bottom. But the other Tokio Hotel boys like to cut it loose too, not just on stage. No wonder, with that offer; Millions of girls would give anything for one night with Bill, Tom, Georg or Gustav. BRAVO asked the boys, how wild they really are.


BRAVO: Boys, be honest! Do you really hook up with your fans often?

Tom: Yeah, I guess you can call it that. It happened more then once. The saying 'Everyone needs a dock in every city' (A Dutch Saying) fits perfectly with that. But, we're still young, right?

Georg: Bill and Gustav are more like "Hey, let?s go play Monopoly in our rooms tonight!". Tom and I play some different games then. (grins)

Tom: Bill is always saying, that he believes in true love. But I think, you have to find true love, because you wont find her otherwise. And I am anxiously searching!

BRAVO: How?

Georg: If we see cute/hot fans, we persuade them to give their phone numbers to us. So later, we call them. Then, we tell them the number of our hotel-room. And then they come upstairs and we can talk peacefully. (grin)

Bill: And if you're in town again, you call them. Wonderful!

Tom: Hey, who do you think we are?

BRAVO: Do the fans enter your room without your permission?

Bill: No. Only if Tom or Georg ordered them to their room.

Tom: Exactly. They're only entering legally! (grin)

BRAVO: Who gets most of the girls?

Tom: You dont even have to ask that question!

Georg: You're dreaming!

BRAVO: What does a real rock-life mean to you?

Georg: Fun on stage!

Gustav: To brush your teeth every two weeks!

Bill: Eww, no, that's disgusting!

Gustav: That rocks!

Tom: We dont really live like that. With rock also comes festivals, camping and stuff.

Bill: We mainly rock on stage and parties.

Tom: Yeah, at parties I dont care how filthy it is and how you come out of it!

BRAVO: It doesn?t matter where you appear, the girls always seem to go crazy about you. How is that?

Bill: I love it, when our fans start to scream when they see us. I'm happy, when they're happy. That's very natural. I used to love a few people too and just had to meet them. They would've done me a huge favour if they just said 'hello' to me. That's why we like to take care of our fans.

Tom: Our contact with our fans is very important. We owe them a lot. A lot of celebrities seem to forget, that without their fans, they're nothing. Not us, to us Fans are really important!

BRAVO: Doesn't it scare you, that some fans completely freak out when they see you?

Georg: Sometimes. Once, we were at a TV-show, and one girl could shake hands with us. We were really scared, she looked ready to collapse. She was trembling so bad. And then she started crying.

Bill: She was really done for. I really dont know what to do when something like that happens.

BRAVO: Have you thought of tricks to calm girls down?

Bill: Yes, I just talk to them normally. That calms them down, because they notice, I am just human too. Important thing is, to not let there become an eerie silence, because they will get uncomfortable again.

Tom: But if you hold them, it only gets worse.

Georg: They totally freak out then.

Tom: Well, it's different with Georg. If he embraces you, it's kind of okay.

Bill: We just crack jokes and then they calm down.

BRAVO: Lots of your fans style themselves like you..

Bill: That's what I always wanted. I think it's great if everyone does what they do and creates their own style. But I offcourse I think it's great if people think I'm cool walking around like I do and copy that. I think people will also find their own style when they do.

Tom: It would be great to give a concert for doppelgangers. To see little Bill's, Tom's, Georg's and Gustav's. That would be so cool!

Bill: I never saw a little Tom before.

BRAVO: Do you have lots of boy-fans?

Bill: Yeah, suprisingly many. We love our own music too. We?re happy with it.. There are many cool bands, like Linkin park we listen to, and they listen to us too!

BRAVO: Do you get love-letters from boys?

Tom: Yeah. A few. They get treated just like the others. They also get an autograph-card. But it's weird to know guys like us in that way.

Bill: Gustav got most of the letters from boys. I actually thought that I would be the one who got the most. That they would think like "Because he wears make-up, he probably likes boys too.".

Georg: But if you look closely, you can see that Gustav is more like that! (laughs)

Gustav: Very funny! (frowns)

Bill: Maybe they like the 'trained-drummer' look.

BRAVO: Do fans call you on your cellphones?

Bill: We all have a new phone-numer. But if our fans find out what our numbers are, they mostly hang up immediately anyway. On the phone we never say who we really are. We use false names and only say 'With Hansi' or something.

Tom: I try to scare them away, by saying mean things. (grin)

Bill: We all dont have much time now, especially to talk hours on the phone with someone. Phone calls with Fans can be very exhausting, too.

BRAVO: What do fans send you?

Georg: Loads of love-letters, pictures, drawings, stuffed-animals.

Bill: Videos, cassettes.

Gustav: When they send us their own made songs or poems, I think that is great.

Tom: There are also parents who wrote us, who think we are good. And that their kids are starting a band. That's awesome. It's better than hanging on the street all day. But in a practice-area it's way more fun and they wont try stupid things!
