And finally, it was time to come home. Just three days ago Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg celebrated winning their first ever MTV Europe Music Award and now it was time for the final concert of their tour.
Tom said: ‘It was really important for us to end this tour where it all began. If we hadn’t had this gigantic success in Germany back in 2005, the rest of Europe would never have joined in the Tokio Hotel fever’.
Bill added: ‘That’s why we picked Essen, Germany for our final gig and as a special surprise for our fans we included the brand new song ‘1000 Meere’ in the show!’
Georg continued: ‘A couple of days ago we did a listening preview of ‘1000 Meere’ in the Backstage Area of our German website. After doing so we received tons of mail by overjoyed fans who totally loved the song, so we just had to try out performing this track live on stage and it was terrific! Oh yeah, I wanted to mention one thing - many thanks for the cool balloon surprise our fans did, that was so beautiful’.
The end of a tour always brings with it mixed feelings. The four guys visited so many different cities and countries, experienced loads of unique moments and, most importantly, saw thousands and thousands of happy fans. Although they may have now performed the last show of their tour, the memories will stay with them for life.
So, that’s it for Tokio Hotel’s first ever European tour. Many thanks to all the people who made this gigantic project happen. A big THANK YOU also goes out to all the fans for coming to the shows and turning each night into a special one!

Madness In Milan!
The Milanese are certainly Tokio Hotel-crazy! After announcing the show, the venue had to be changed three times to bigger and bigger arenas to accommodate all the fans who wanted to attend. Finally the biggest venue in Milan was booked, ‘the Dutch Forum’, and even this gigantic place quickly sold out!
Unsurprisingly there was an incredible atmosphere in the crowd at the show, with everyone singing along as if they were the ones performing on stage! And because of this enthusiasm, the show was a great one for the band too.
Bill said: ‘We have already been to Italy loads of times by now - but each time the fans top the previous one! It’s crazy what’s happening here and what our Italian Street Team is pulling together! It feels so good to come here and we will come back - that’s for sure!’
Once the concert was over, Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg had to hurry to get on to their tour bus as it was ready to depart for the MTV EMAs in Munich, Germany, where a big surprise was waiting for them…

Last Stop In France: Toulon
Before heading off for the final leg of their tour in Italy, Tokio Hotel had one final stop in France: the beautiful city of Toulon.
Georg said: ‘Oh man, this is already the last stop in France – after that we’ll continue to Italy and then we’ll be back home again!’
‘It’s so crazy’, replied Tom, ‘Time has been passing like nothing since we’ve been on tour. When you’re sucking in so many new experiences, everything seems so diverting!’
Bill added: ‘After the tour is over I’ll need a couple of weeks to process all this. While we’re living the high life and having so many exciting times on tour, it’s difficult to realise what’s actually happening’.
But the tour was not over yet - that night’s show was the last one in France and it was set to be an unforgettable one! In the end, the gig was absolutely stunning and the fans partied like it was the last concert that Tokio Hotel would ever play. What a great show!

Things Heat Up In Nice
The boys woke up to a beautiful day in Nice – the sun was shining, the sky was bright blue it was 25 degrees and they had an amazing view of the Mediterranean sea from their hotel window. ‘It feels like we are on holiday here!’ commented Tom, while Gustav grabbed his swimming trunks and raced to the beach.
Although the weather was perfect for lounging around by the sea, unfortunately the concert that evening was like an oven! But Tom was pleased with the boiling temperatures inside the sold-out Nikaia arena: ‘The hotter it is, the fewer clothes our fans in the audience are wearing!’(said with much laughter)
The atmosphere among the 9,000 fans was superb, which meant that the whole show was fantastic. As Bill summed up: ‘Well, an extraordinary gig only happens when both – fans and band – rock the house together, and that was totally the case in Nice!’

The Guys Head To Amneville
After spending the past few days in each other’s company 24/7, the guys’ day in Amneville offered them the chance to spend a bit of time apart - as Gustav put it: ‘Finally a tour day where we had a little more time to ourselves!’
Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav decided to hire some racing cars in Clermont Ferrand - remote control ones! Even though they were small they could travel at up to 80 km/h, and the boys had a brilliant day. Bill said: ‘Each of us enjoyed the day kind of alone and then at night it felt even better to get together again to do the show!’
And what a great show it was. ‘Oh man!’ says Tom. ‘We should have taped the whole show! I think at this one I barely made any mistakes!’ (to which everyone laughed). Georg seemed to disagree however: ‘Well Tom, I think you are mixing up the words ‘barely’ and ‘a lot’! OK, seriously, it was a fantastic show and the audience was terrific as well here in Amneville – our fans totally rocked!’
