Tokio Hotel WW26 (TH interview)

Today you sang in front of 20 000 people. How do you feel?

Bill:
I was very nervous, I didn't sleep at night, and also we're moving in the day, so I can feel my pressure rise. It's like that before every concert, but here, it was a bit stronger than usual. I hope that we will do well and that our fans will leave the concert, happy.

You have a fragile appearance, and yet on scene you seem absolutely infatigable. Do you do any particular training?

Bill: No, I don't do anything special. At the beginning I must admit I was much more tired when the concerts were over. It's hard to sing and dance at the same time, you lose your breath eaasily and you have to do it all for an hour and a half! You have to be in good shape. But by and by, I got better, and today I am much more resistant than how I was a year ago. Also, I try to eat healthy and not to have to much excess in my every-day life

Are you one of those artists that are more inspired when they cross difficult moments?

Tom:
You have to admit that it helps to write. All the feelings are tense and it's easier to write them down. That doesn't mean that it's the only way to write, and thankfully we have other sources of inspiration. Ever since our success in Germany, we have been overwhelmed and we have had incredible moments which will surely be a great source of inspiration for our next album. Also, I must say that not all our songs are autobiographic. Our friends also tell us their problems, and it happens that we talk about them in our songs.

Today, you cannot take a step in Germany without being attacked by fans. If you could become anonymous for one day, what would you do?

Tom:
It might seem weird, but I think that neither of us wants to become anonymous! Living on music has always been a dream and we had to work hard for that. I don't know for how long we'll have succes, but we want to take advantage of it to the full for as long as it lasts. And if one day we really want to go 'unknown' in the road, we put glasses and hats, even if it's hard for me because of my hair. When a fan recognizes me and tells her friends, I have to run away!!! (laughs)

And if ever your success stops all of a sudden, what would you do?

Bill :
It would be hard, but sincerely, I think that it wouldn't stop us from making music. Personally, I can't imagine doing anything other than music, music is my whole life, and I don't even know if I would be capable of doing something else. And even if I have to become anonymous, I wouldn't stop singing.

Now do you feel different when compared with other boys your age?

Gustav :
No, not at all. We are still teens like the rest. We have our humor, our bad times, our great times, and our times of doubt. I don't think that being a celebrity hides away all the questions that teens ask. To the contrary in fact!
