Tokio Hotel WW35 (...interview)

Saar: Have you been to Tokyo already?
Bill: Ehm, Until now not yet, I have to say. We were not yet there, but we want to like before, it's a big dream of us to go to Tokyo and play a concert there and we hope we'll make it, maybe next year.
Saar: You are so often on the way and are going from place to place, how is it to tour a whole year?
Bill: Generally it's nice, of course we like to tour, we like to be on the way but of course people miss the most their own bed. We love to sleep there and we are every day in another hotel, in another bed or have to sleep in the tourbus and for us it's in any case so that we miss our own bed, simply to sleep at home and be at your own home.
Saar: what do you miss the most when you're touring?
Tom: I think at best, you miss in any case your best friends and else.. Our parents. You can't name 1 person, our best friends and parents..
Georg:.. And of course our pets.
Tom: Oh pets! Yeah! I do miss my little dog sometimes.
Saar: What is the dog called?
Tom: It's called..
Saar: Scotty?
Tom: Scotty, yes.
Saar: Your life was suddenly so bizarre, with all the girls are going mad for you, how bizarre is that?
Bill:It was very funny, It was a total change for us. From today to tomorrow a totally new life came, we started a totally different live. But that's what we wanted, it's a big dream for us which came true and we can play concert everywhere and are in very much countries and can see very much, so from that on it's a cool life, a strong life and it was a big change.
Saar: Don't you want a normal life where you can go out and party and flirt with girls without being it a big case?
Tom: Well the flirting won't stay away. Georg tries to flirt the whole day. But about the girls, you don't miss that definitely, it became more. Not at the others, but with me in any case.Sometimes there are situations you just want to go normally to the cinema. I think the dating with girls is harder, you can't just take a girl to the cinema, that happens at the hotel room. But it's better, it goes faster.
Saar: So actually it's just the big boydream, but are there things which are less nice about it?
Bill: In any case it's a big boy dream, a band dream, to be that successful and so, that's of course totally great. But of course there are moments, well for example me, when you're alone. You're always on the way and almost never have time for friends and family and when you're alone.. When you just want to go at the street and don't be recognized for 1 day, of course that's there true. It's the dark side of it.
Saar: Is it possible for you to go at the streets normally, not in disguise? Tom: we try that sometimes, when we just want to go out or go to the store, we just disguise .. I have a cap on and so , I won't tell in details or I will be recognized anyway, It won't help always. We're a little bit less recognized but the true fans recognize us anyway, so okay. We have to give autographs and so but you're more relaxed when you go out disguised.

Saar: Have you had holiday this year?
Bill: We have always 2 weeks vacation in the year where we really can fly away and of course between everything you have some days off but other than that we were working the whole year and at the end of the year we have 2 weeks off to go to a little Island and get rest, we need that. I'm a total fan of little Islands, so we'll fly away at the end of the year.
Saar: And are you going with the 4 of you or do you have enough of each other by than?
Tom: We were together once but now we think like: Ok we are already 345, 350 days a year together, we need 2 weeks to be alone with family and friends.
Saar: you're very big yourself, but is there a band you dream to perform with?
Bill: I think it's a dream of every band to perform with... Metallica, AC/DC, or the rolling Stones.
Tom: You just don't see 'no' to bands like that.
Bill: I think it'd be really cool, it's a dream to work with them.
Tom: I think it's hard because you don't know them in person. I think when you really want to perform together, you need to understand each other, because with music, it's a really special thing..So because of that, it's hard to say. You have to get known the bands and look if there's something to work with, I don't think you can say that right away. Me in person, I want to work with rap stars.. Maybe there'll be a cooperation sometime with other people.
