Here are the meanings to the songs of their album "Zimmer 483". TOTGELIEBT Bill : This song describes about how you distance yourself from people you used to love. And you can’t do anything about it. It already happened to me, I was going out with a girl, but all I could do was watch our relationship die. SPRING NICHT Bill : It’s a really sad song. It talks about suicide. Tom : Certain people sometimes feel that life isn’t worth living. Bill : What we mean in the song is that there are never enough reasons to abandon it all. There has to be a time when it will become better. Thankfully, I never felt that. But we got lots of letters from fans last year, and they were very sad. They told us that our songs made them feel better. It really touched us. HEILIG Bill : We wrote this song for the people who count a lot in our life. For a long time, it was really hard for me to describe those feelings. It always evolved around love. But after, we progressed with the word “heilig”-sacred. It described it perfectly. No matter what happens, those people will always be a big part of our lives. Georg : Our families are those people. Gustav : And our friends. Georg, Tom, and Bill are very important to me. WO SIND EURE HÄNDE ? Bill : The idea for that song came from our concerts. Our « Schrei » tour was great. We wanted to make a thank you song for our fans. For the Zimmer 483 tour, we wanted a song with which we could share something with the fans, and that’s how it was done. STICH INS GLÜCK Tom : It talks about a girl who’s taking drugs. Every year, the age when people start taking drugs gets younger and younger. In every party, people drug themselves, it’s really shit. Bill : In the music business, lots of people drug themselves, and people talk a lot about it. We realised that around us, no one took drugs. And drugs have never been a solution to us. ICH BRECH AUS Bill : I am really stubborn. I have to do everything, and I’d do anything to do it all. We’re used to people telling us, “Listen, I’ve done it for 20 years and I’m telling you that this is how you do it !” I’ve already had that said to me. I don’t want to be “pre-made”. I just want to do what I want. I don’t want to sing a song that I don’t like, I don’t want to style my hair in a way that I don’t like. Our producers know that, and are used to it. REDEN Tom : It’s the sexual relationship between a fan and I. You might have read about that in a Bravo. The next day, I didn’t want to tell what had happened, to Bill, Gustav, and Georg, but they finally made me spit it out. Anyhow, it’s a song that touches me a lot, because it talks about what happened that day. (laughs) NACH DIR KOMM NICHTS Bill : When I got out with a girl, I’m focused on her. Only after, can she know me. When it stops, I can’t imagine going out with someone else because I gave her everything. And then I start to hate myself for falling so low, and I distance myself from everyone. Tom : That’s funny, I feel exactly the same thing for my dog. I can’t imagine having another one. WIR STERBEN NIEMALS AUS Bill : Tom has lots of memories about this song. Tom : It’s the only song that I’m ‘sensitive’ to. (grimaces) Bill : In fact, we belive that when someone dies, a part of them never leaves. We can’t imagine that someone is gone forever. And without worrying about how much time it will take, no one can take away our music. VERGESSENE KINDER Bill : This song was inspired by our fans. We received lots of letters about people who were going through difficult peroids in their lives. These people are so young and already alone in the world, and have hard lives. They live shut up in themselves and no one thinks about them. We wrote this song for the people who realise that. It is dedicated to the kids that no one thinks about. AN DIESER SEITE {ICH BIN DA} Bill : This song is dedicated to the people who were supporting us these last six months; our famlies and friends. We wanted to give them something in return. There isn’t anything better than knowing that someone is there for you, someone you can count on. I hadn’t called my best friend for a long time, but I knew he was there for me. Even until the end of the world, he will be there for me. We want to tell those people that we are also there for them. No matter what I have to do, if a friend calls me and says “I need you”, I will drop everything to go help. |
