Tokio Hotel WW44 (A sacred year)

TOKIO HOTEL
A Sacred Year

Just when the 4 Germans complete their Europe tour with a new live DVD, it's been announced that they're coming back around for a second series of concerts! They’re sharing their impressions on everything, exclusively for Live Star.

Numerous fans were touched by the start of the "Zimmer 483 Tour" in France: the 16th of October in Bercy;
but several fans expressed their disappointment in hearing several songs sung in English.
Bill, the charismatic singer of the group, is conscious of the numerous demands the group has to meet: "Of course, everyone has their preferences," he admits, "Some fans prefer the German songs while others prefer the English ones... I sang little in English, but it's true that in France many fans wish that we'd sing the songs in our own language, like we do in Germany. I hope they liked it, and that they liked the English songs as well."

But nevertheless, that chapter is over, and the public is turning towards what is still to come: a new tour, with nothing less than 2 concerts in Bercy, March 9 and 10, and more scheduled dates in Province, England, Spain, and Italy!
Bill discusses the program they have in store for the fans: "For the "Zimmer 483 Tour", we're starting off with the exact same shows from the 1st tour. But we're going to be doing new songs, and we'll have a different stage," he promises. "We like to come back with something different," Georg, the bassist, comments.

A Challenging Tour:
After spending so much time on the road, it's surprising to see them there again.
Aren't they bored of living in a bus? One more time, it's the young singer who speaks: "At the beginning we thought that it was really fun, that it was very beautiful! But when you're on tour for so long, at the end, it gets very tiring", he confides.
His brother Tom continues: "There are a lot of people with us, they work on the tour so they travel with us on in the bus, it becomes challenging. Besides,” he adds maliciously , "Georg snores!".

But the four musicians quickly jump to the advantages: "The good side is that we can play live everyday! Going on stage daily brings lots of pleasure", says Bill with enthusiasm.
And his twin adds: "I think that the tour does us good as a band. During the previous tour, we learned a lot. It was fun and very entertaining."
The singer concludes with a lot of maturity: "For us, being on stage and giving a great performance, is the most important part of our career. Selling many CDs is also a good thing, but it's on stage that you meet your public (fans). It's another feeling and I think that it's very beautiful.

Return to Lille,
For An Unforgettable Concert! :
October 25th 2007: the northern city was one of the 1st to greet the Germans after Bill’s little throat problem. Apparently, the group still has a surprising image/form, despite Bill's voice seeming a little rough - which doesn't ruin the songs; to the contrary! Tokio Hotel starts the show with "Ubers Ender Der Welt", and once Bill speaks (several words to the public in Voltaire's language, French), the cheers heard reach whole new sound levels! Following the opening song, "Reden", "Spring Nicht", ...and older songs as well: "Leb Die Sekunde", "Ich Bin Nicht Ich", and the unforgettable "Schrei"!

The young rockers rock out, before dedicating the hit that put them on the map, "Durch den Monsun", to us. "It's your song!" shouts Bill.
On the melancholic "Vergessene kinder", his not fully developed voice is wonderful and really gets to us. The concert ends on a festive note, with the recalls during which the boys let go:
Bill makes a fake presentation of the members of the band (Gustav was re-baptized 'Harry'!) and even amuse themselves by tickling Georg with a stuffed animal! One thing is for sure: With them, we're not even close to being bored...
